With the Olympic Trials being the largest event held in Canada for the last four years, the girls decided to do more frequent recaps throughout the week.  This episode (PART 1) covers the opening weekend, their road trip to Ottawa and watching live Wednesday and Thursday at the Canadian Tire Centre.  They focus on noteworthy games and moments, the standings, how their trials picks are faring and other highs and lows up until this point and of course, some insights and observations!

Nov 30, 2017

In this latest episode, the girls preview the upcoming Roar of the Rings Canadian Olympic Trials.  They analyze each team, how they did during the fall spiel circuit and what chances they have to win the event.  They rank them according to 3 categories: playoff bound, middle of the road or drinking in the patch.  You do not want to miss the excitement the girls have for the trials, including an insomnia induced poem "T'was the Night Before Trials!"  We also spoke to some fellow curlers to hear who they are picking and cheering for! Enjoy!!

In this episode, the girls recap the Road to the Roar which took place in Summerside, PEI.  They discuss some of the controversial decisions: not to show the RRTR in its entirety, the pool format which created a log jam of tiebreakers and how that was handled, and not allowing the teams to wear their own uniforms.  The girls revisit their picks and discuss the surprises and disappointments of the week.  They celebrate the successes of Team McCarville, Team Morris, Team Tippen and Team Bottcher as they win their way to the Olympic Trials.  There is a new segment being introduced called "Ask the Girls" where they discuss the importance of the draw and getting off to a good start.  Lots of laughs as usual, especially when the new commercials comes up in conversation!
