Girl 2 rejoins Girl 1 for episode 12 of season 8.
There’s Something About Mary as G2 is back from a grind of a week commentating for the Ontario STOH and Tankard provincial championships. She dishes about the host town, the venue, the event, the people, and her commentary colleagues, plus the sights, sounds and observations from a great seat in the house.
The Girls also discuss the no-tick rule before dissecting the results in Port Elgin, which are followed by mention of a real-life flashback: a COVID case, which prompted a competing team to withdraw.
Then it’s on to the plethora of other provincial championship results that made this past week and weekend one of the most attractive for those savvy enough to watch livestreams via the internet.

Girl 1 welcomes “Girl 3” for episode 11 of season 8 … as amazing guest host Daryell Nowlan returns.

Lori and Daryell waste no time in catching up, and talk about Team Andrea Kelly’s big provincial STOH win in New Brunswick. This leads to a discussion between two coaches (Lori described her U18 provincial coaching efforts in episode 10) as well as the difference between winning a provincial title and cashspiels on the World Curling Tour.
The Alberta women’s provincial championship was fully discussed, as both hosts were thrilled with the stunning finish on the last stone of the championship final.
