Dec 17, 2018

In this last episode of 2018 (Episode 12, Season 4) the 2 Girls and A Game podcast gets recognized in a recent article on The Athletic.  The girls discuss everything that happened at the Boost National Slam which took place in Conception Bay NFLD including the ever popular 60 sec recap of the finals.  Congratulations to Team Homan and Team Paterson for winning the titles.  The girls answer an "Ask the Girls" question which tackles the topic of: Are there too many events for the elite players?  Curling Canada issues a statement recently that says there was an officiating error at the recent Canada Cup in the mens final.  Warning: sensitive material with another segment of Dirty Curling Talk so listener discretion is advised!  Have a safe and Happy Holiday and Merry Christmas to you all!  Many thanks to the following sponsors: Asham, JetIce, HardLine and CurlingZone.  Thank you for listening and please enjoy the episode!!

In the 11th Episode (Season 4) Lori and Mary tackle all the drama and controversy from the Canada Cup.  This is the first Season of Champions event and it did not disappoint.  Curling Canada introduced the 5 rock rule to the Canada Cup in addition to a new end by end timing system.  The girls chat with Darren Moulding, 3rd for Team Bottcher, to discuss his experience with the time clocks and how it impacted their team.  There was also some discussion on social media regarding ponytails and the girls weigh in with their thoughts.  Congratulations to Team Jones and Team Jacobs who emerged as the Canada Cup Champions.  Thank you to the sponsors: JetIce, Asham, CurlingZone and HardLine.  Thank you for listening and please enjoy the episode!

In Episode 10 (Season 4), the girls leave the controversy of Red Deer behind and have some fun this week.  They discuss Christmas, love languages and pet peeves.  Since the Canada Cup begins on Wednesday, the girls make their picks for which teams will win the event.  Lori interviews Casey Scheidigger in a "Things That Make Us Go Hmmmm" segment about modelling in the Women of Curling calendar, what it took to become a top ranked team, how she balances work, curling and family and a game of rapid fire to get to know Casey a little better.  In a "Behind The Glass" segment, we interview Colin Hodgson, owner of Dynasty Apparel, a clothing company that recently was named Official Uniform Partner of Curling Canada.  We asked how he started the company, about the new contract to supply clothing at the Scotties, Brier and Continental Cup, what he loved about the past curling fashion and play a game of "yay or nay" to hear Colin's thoughts on current fashion trends.  Thank you to the sponsors: JetIce, Asham, CurlingZone and HardLine.  Please enjoy the episode and thank you for listening!
