In Episode 3 (Season 4) the girls do a quick recap of the Curling World Cup where all three of the Canadian teams stood on the podium. The girls get up close and personal with former coach of Team Homan, Adam Kingsbury. Adam discusses his background and education and how he became involved with Team Homan. Adam gives a sneak peak into the personalities and character traits of each of the ladies, the highs and lows of winning the trials and not medaling at the Olympics and what changes he would like to see for the next Olympic Trials. The girls tackle a couple hot topic issues with Adam including changing the 5th player after the Olympic Trials, the on ice coaching change and the infamous burned rock incident. Thank you to the sponsors for this episode: Hardline, Jet Ice, Asham and CurlingZone. Thanks for listening and please enjoy this extra long episode!
This episode was a happy accident of sorts. The plan for this week was to interview Adam Kingsbury (former coach of Team Homan) but due to a scheduling conflict, that episode will be released next week. The girls were both in Oakville at the Stu Sells Oakville Tankard, one of the stops on the World Curling Tour. The plan was to have a brief discussion about their collected experiences. However, when you put the two girls together to chat about curling what was meant to be a brief discussion ended up as a full episode. The girls talked about what they were doing in Oakville, who they met, their observations with the 5 rock rule, what team they are both excited to watch this season, a celebrity sighting, drink etiquette questions and the all skip Team Einarson pulling out the victory over Team Tirinzoni in the final. Hope you enjoy listening to this episode!
Welcome to Season 4! Not sure how it's already the start of the season but the girls are ready to delve into all topics curling! The 2 girls are excited to announce new sponsors for the season: Hardline, Jet Ice and CurlingZone. Having these sponsors on board will increase the ability to attend more events and bring increased curling content to the podcast. Some of today's topics include: what have your favourite curlers been up to during the off season, results from the tour events so far and what do they mean, Ben Hebert's interview on the Player's Own Voice podcast and some fun new segment ideas for this season. There may be the odd laugh or two as well. Hope you all had a safe and happy summer and please enjoy!
