Our show about Curling reflects our insights and observations about our favourite game, the athletes and their stories during the biggest competitions.

Mar 25, 2019

In the 22nd episode (Season 4) Lori and Mary do a deep dive into the Women's World Championship which took place in Silkeborg, Denmark.  This is the first time in 20 years that Team Canada failed to qualify for the playoffs so Lori and Mary discuss what could have contributed to the result: whether Canadian teams are as prepared for international events as other countries, how to handle wearing the maple leaf in curling and what can be done when an athlete is struggling.  The girls talk about the downside of social media and the onslaught of negative comments about Team Carey and whether that contributed to the outcome of the week.  Congratulations to Team Switzerland on the extra end win over Team Sweden in a thrilling gold medal game.  Lori and Mary talk about recent team changes, mixed doubles and so much more!  Thank for to the following sponsors for this episode: JetIce, CurlingZone and Asham.  And thank you all for listening - please enjoy!
