In this episode the girls got together before the Scotties began to discuss their picks, thoughts on the format changes and how they feel about the distribution of the teams in the two pools.  They also make their Provincial Brier picks for BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Northern Ontario and Quebec.  The girls have some fun with a RACY segment on what really is creating the global interest in curling and it is not just because its now an Olympic sport!! Then they recap the opening weekend at the Scotties, hits and misses, highs and lows, surprises and disappointments.  Enjoy!

One of the girls is away this week drinking rum on the beach so Gerry Geurts sits in for this episode.  We talk about all the Scotties provincial results from the past weekend.  Team Jennifer Jones adds another provincial title to her collection and we discuss Kaitlyn's replacement for the Scotties. Team Fleury wins the title in Northern Ontario and a surprise junior team, Team Gagne wins the province of Quebec.  In Alberta, Team Scheidigger steals the win over defending champion Shannon Kleinbrink.  Mary Anne Arsenault returns to the Scotties with her team from Nova Scotia and Hollie Duncan surprises the field in Ontario by claiming her first provincial title.  We discuss the CTRS "wildcard" entry and the new Scotties format.  Afterwards, Gerry gives a recap on the successfully run Continental Cup in his hometown of London, Ontario.  Enjoy!
